AIM: (Today is the last day you don't need to copy it down) How do we provide more information to the readers of our blogs?
One of the ways we can make our blogs more informative and utilize the information on the internet is to put links into our blog entries. Links can quickly and easily point your blog readers to other websites related to your specific posts.
1. Post your sixth topic-specific blog post today.
2. Try putting a link in your post today to a webpage that relates directly to whatever you are writing about. You can also write about what viewers will see when they visit the link.
3. Type a sentence that includes the name of the webpage to which you are linking.
4. Highlight the name of the webpage in your post.
5. Click on the link button. It's the little world with a chain link on top of it next to the font color "T" button.
6. The URL field is the where you will type in the webpage address to which you are linking. Type it in and hit "Ok."
7. The highlighted text will become a different color and will be underlined. Now your blog readers can click on it and go directly to your link!
8. Example:
Try clicking on this link to go to Mr. Power's Other Blog - The Men's Fashion Blog.
Or you could do it by clicking here.
Check out my first post on my Men's Fashion blog here to see an example.
